Stress is a two-sided / paradoxical coin. One the one hand it says, “If I am stressed I care”, but this is typically a very fine line with a very small threshold, which can quickly become enormously negative — activating that part of the brain which is responsible for fight or flight! Be it anxiety (stress about tomorrow) or regret (stress about the past), living by Living on fight or flight is living a reactive, primitive based existence. Simply put being truly stressed out does not allow us to live a full life. Today’s world puts enormous challenges and pressures on people. Those with the skills and tools to cope with stress, not only allow them to better mitigate and navigate its challenges, but build resistance and resilience to stress. Rather than allowing stress to drag you down, with the proper practice stress creates resilience, builds you up better preparing you for the challenges and pressures of the future. Stress is about being in one space and wanting to be in another and it leads to a feeling of being stuck without a clear path to become unstuck. .
