When we are tired, we are attacked by ideas we conquered long ago – Nietzsche

A few notes and thoughts. Energy is key. We all have positive and negative elements adding and subtracting from our energy — from passion for a particular project, which gives us a boost, to day to day stresses and conflict which normally zap our overall energy. We are influenced by so many unseen factors that how we respond depends on the day. To some degree this is about awareness. To some degree it is an acceptance that our moods are like the weather, it comes yet it also passes. In all cases we need the highest energy to approach the day at hand. Negative energy is singularly our most dangerous and formidable enemy – it enters our psyche when we are unrested and tired, and it is pervasive, subconsciously coloring everything from our observations to decisions. At times even stress and anxiety can kick in your endorphins, providing energy, but this perverse boost is unsustainable and exhausting. We all need high levels, of positive energy, strength, focus and flexibility to work and perform well. This is a whole package, and unfortunately many of us are not working from a perspective of overall wellness. General health, rest and diet play an incredible and often neglected role over our levels of energy and general wellbeing. What you put in your body matters. How well you rest matters.
